Here are some lovely photos I took of Daniella. I'll have more to post of her soon. I love her so! Whenever I'm feeling like all I want to do is shoot I can just hit her up and bam we've got something planned! Here's a shoot we did spontaneously one day after both feeling frustrated that this wasn't what we got to do all day everyday (me shoot and her model).

 Here are some photos from a shoot I did a few months ago with the beautiful Raven who I met off Model Mayhem. I recently got a new set of filters from VSCO Cam. There 03 series is filled with filters that replicate instant films past and present. VSCO filters get me so excited to edit photos! This is the second series I've gotten from them. I wasn't going to get more because they come with a lot of filters and I thought 4x's the amount would be excessive but since I had recently come into some extra cash from my birthday (thanks Mom & Dad!) I decided to go for it and I am not sorry! I've started re-editing all of my photos! I can't stop! :)

I've been reading some amazing articles about photographers who up and leave everything behind and drive around the country in trailers. I've been itching to do that now for quite some time and want to do it so badly I can taste it! I guess my next step is to start saving up some cash so I can spend a year out on the road and hopefully come back as a full time photographer. There are tons of messages between Daniella and I wishing we could just shoot all day all the time and a lot of 'damn this full time job of mine!' from me. (I like my job a lot but I love photography). Now I've got to make a plan on how this is going to go down! Hopefully I can look back on this post and pat myself on the back and say, "Oh look how far I've come."

Charise

Here are some images from a shoot I did last weekend. This shoot was styled and directed by stylist extraordinaire and my friend Gabriella Nunn for a class she is taking. Her theme was on the artist Jean Michel Basquiat. I love setting up my own shoots and directing and styling them but sometimes all the responsibility can be overwhelming so it's nice to be able to just show up with my camera and have everything all set up. :) I love the clothes, location, and model Gabbie picked for this shoot! I had a blast working on it! Some photos of the stunning Charise! Hopefully you all will be seeing much more of her in the future!

Here are some photos from a shoot I had last Saturday. It was the first shoot I had planned on my own with so many people. I had been planning it for about a month and started out with a make up artist, hair, and wardrobe stylist and 3 models. Only one model, Q, was with me from start to finish. As the weeks went on more and more people dropped out. The week before the shoot I was on Model Mayhem messaging people daily trying to find someone to be in my shoot. By the end it all came together. I supplied most of the wardrobe for the girls and Mike. My dear friend and stylist Gabbie was able to come and help out, which was such a relief, and luckily everyone was able to do their own hair and make up (since they dropped out shortly before the shoot also). Daniella, who I've worked with a bunch of times, was also free which I was so excited to hear! My boyfriend Mike was also able to be in the shoot and in the end everything was a success.

Back in March I came across this blog called 'Loux the Vintage Guru' which is about this guy, Loux, and his friends and family in Africa who dress in vintage clothing. Naturally it was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen and it became the theme for this shoot. The shoot took place right across the street from the Berkeley Rose Garden. When I found the location for the shoot I decided I wanted it to have more of a Tom Sawyer/ Huckleberry Finn vibe. All the greenery and vintage clothes reminded me of those books. After posting some images on Instagram it looks like I'll be planning another shoot in June with a similar vibe and will be working with a styling duo who love to style retro looks! I'm super excited! I'm excited to continue on with this shoot and take what I've learned from this one and apply it to the next one.

The shoot, which I was pretty nervous about, turned out to be a lot of fun and a great success. I want to thank all my models and stylist Gabbie for all their help in making my vision become a reality. I hope you all had as much fun as I did!
